Our History

Originally chartered in 1925 and continuously chartered since 1955, Troop 88 and the recently formed Troop 3088, are dedicated to providing a world class scouting experience through a combination of monthly outings, service to the community and a dedication to assisting the Scouts with becoming the best they can be.  Our Troop Mission Statement includes a pledge to prepare youth to become healthy, responsible, ethical citizens within the communities they reside.  We are proud to be chartered by The American Legion Merrill-Mitchell Post 39 in Gilbert, and to have a long-standing partner in the First United Methodist Church of Gilbert where the Troops meets every Monday evening at 7pm. The Church activity center is located at:   331 S. Cooper Road, Gilbert, AZ 85233

What our Scouts Have to Say...

"I am better at public speaking and have more confidence after being a part of Troop 88. I learned some cool skills and made some awesome friends along the way."

- Doug W.

"Going to NYLT for leadership training really helped me in school to become a better leader in class. I found that I was able to use my skills to help others do better and my teacher took notice too."

Dillon S.

"I love the high adventure activities the most. Being able to go on some crazy fun adventures like Sea Base and Philmont was the highlight of my time in Scouts."
